------ Glenzer, Robert F. (10 JAN 1917 – 2 MAR 1965)
Robert F. Glenzer, 48, Stanley,
a former area man, died Tuesday at Victory Memorial hospital at Stanley as a
result of a car accident Sunday evening about three miles east of Owen on
Highway 29.
The accident occurred when Glenzer’s car
reportedly struck two vehicles, one pulling the other, which had stopped along
the road.
Glenzer suffered chest injuries.
Funeral services will be held
Friday at 2 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran church at Stanley.
The body will be at the Plombon Funeral Home,
Stanley.
Mr. Glenzer was born Jan. 10,
1917 in the town of Green Grove, and attended school at Curtiss.
He worked in the home farm, and served four
years with the US army.
His marriage to Dorothy Kibbel
took place May 4, 1945, at Dubuque, Iowa.
The couple lived at Curtiss until 1957, when
they moved to Stanley.
He had been employed by Northern States Power
Co.
Mr. Glenzer was a member of the Colby Veterans of Foreign
Wars.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Glen and
Gary; two daughters, Sharon and Lynn, all at home; four brothers, Fred of
Curtiss, Hubert of Owen, Harold of Colby and Walter of Genesee Depot and a
sister, Mrs. Rudy (Dorothy) Heyer, Wausau.
