Funeral services were held Tuesday for August Nagel, 72,
Colby, who died Friday afternoon at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield.
The services were held at 2
p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran church, Colby, with the Rev. LeRoy Urman
officiating.
Burial was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.
August Nagel was born at
Sheboygan Aug. 22, 1892.
In 1908 he came to this area, living on a farm
near Curtiss.
In 1931, he was married to the former Theresa
Pokallus at Colby.
The couple lived at Neillsville until 1950,
when they moved to Colby.
He had been employed at the
Rollohome Corp. at Marshfield.
At Colby, he was a member of Zion Lutheran
church, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post at Abbotsford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ronald, Colby,
a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Carol) Lube, Abbotsford; three brothers, Udo,
Copeland, Idaho, Arthur, Colby, and Alfred, Port Ritchey, Fla.; two sisters,
Mrs. Herman Tessmer, Neillsville, and Mrs. Ray Winkel, Greenwood; a
step-brother, Gustave Nagel of Sheboygan; a step-sister, Mrs. Edward Bertram,
Riviera Beach, Fla., and four grand children.
