Funeral services for Mrs.
Darold Freimund, 48, who died unexpectedly at her home at Milan Monday, March 8,
at 9:45 a.m., are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at the Bethlehem Lutheran
church, Milan.
After the 2 o’clock services at which the Rev.
Ferdinand Timler will officiate, interment will be made in the Milan cemetery.
Beginning Tuesday evening, the body lay in state at the
Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.
Mrs. Freimund, the former Lydia
Lucille Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Schultz of Abbotsford, was born
at Abbotsford, Aug. 16, 1916.
She was educated in the Pickard rural school.
On Nov. 27, 1939, she and
Darold Freimund were united in marriage at Abbotsford.
The couple farmed near Stratford until 1945 and
then near Abbotsford for two years.
Eighteen years ago they moved to their present
home in Milan.
Surviving her are her husband and six children: Robert,
David, Mary Jean, Danny and Darold Jr., at home and James at Milan, and one
grand child, Jane Lynn Freimund, Milan.
She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schultz of Abbotsford, and the following six sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Fred (Lorna) Schmelzer, Mrs. Carl (Martha) Fischer, Mrs. Art (Myrtle) Cole, Mrs. Donald (Juanita) Leichtnam, and Wallace Schultz, all of Colby, Mrs. Raymond (Lucille) Waldhart of Wausau, Mrs. Clyde (Carmen) Broeske of Dorchester, Clarence Schultz of route 1, Unity, and Clyde Schultz of Chili.
