HASELOW - RAMSDELL WED IN CEREMONY AT SPOONER

Maryanne Margaret Ramsdell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ramsdell, Spooner, and Charles Walter Haselow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haselow of Owen, were united in marriage at a nuptial Eucharist at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Spooner, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8. The Reverend Canon R. C. Warder performed the ceremony before an altar banked with white glads and mums.

Mrs. Louis Stella was at the organ and accompanied the soloist, Miss Judy Peterson, who sang “The Hawaiian Wedding Prayer.”

Mr. Ramsdell gave his daughter in marriage. She wore a white peau de soie sheath with court train attached to a cummerbund of Chantilly lace, the fitted bodice featured a scoop neckline and elbow length sleeves. A Juliet cap held her fingertip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of white mums and ivy.

Mrs. Duane Haselow, sister-in-law of the groom was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Geraldine Koenen of Spooner, and Miss Linda Haselow, sister of the groom. The attendants wore street length dressess of silvered green nylon organza over taffeta fashioned with Sabrina necklines, their matching headpieces were of flower design and they carried colonial bouquets of white mums.

Duane Haselow attended his brother as best man. The groomsmen were Robert Haselow, brother of the groom, and Robert Ramsdell, brother of the bride. Richard Cattanach and Jerry Melbinger seated the guests.

A reception in the Guild Hall followed the ceremony. Mrs. Robert Bailey, sister of the bride, served the wedding cake; Mrs.Vern Rohde, cousin of the bride, served punch; Mrs. Joe Thompson was at the gift table and Mrs. Frank Wendt was in charge of the guest book.

The bride was graduated from Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire, and has taught English and Spanish in the Augusta school system. Mr. Haselow is a senior at Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire

Following a brief honeymoon, the bride and groom are residing in Augusta.
