MARY CONZEMIUS BECOMES BRIDE OF JOHN MIZERKA

Wedding bells tolled here on Saturday, September 5th at a 10:30 Mass for Mary Kathryn Conzemius, Owen, and John Michael Mizerka of Thorp, who repeated vows at Holy Rosary Church in Owen. The Rev. Father H. L. Crubel officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Conzemius of Owen, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mizerka of Thorp.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose for her wedding, a luxurious floor length bridal gown of imported rosepoint lace. A Sabrina neckline, etched with pearls and sequins, and long traditional tapered sleeves accented the fitted bodice. The bouffant skirt was swept into a chapel train, highlighted by a V-shaped arrangement of lace cabbage roses at the back waist line. A double crown of lace and pearls featuring crystal drops held her veil of illusion. The bride carried a cascade of three white orchids accented by ivy and stephanotis.
Miss Patricia Stewart, Owen, was maid-of-honor with bridesmaids Miss Patricia Larsen of Birnamwood, and Miss Mary Jane Hedler of Thorp. The bridesmaids wore street-length sheaths and removable overskirts of royal blue delustered satin. Scooped necklines and elbow length sleeves accented the fitted bodices. The slim lines of their skirts were fashioned with tiers, complimented by a semi-bouffant overskirt. A sunburst of pearlo and crystal held their bustle veils in harmonizing color.

Little Carol Burke served as a junior bridesmaid, and John Conzemius as junior groomsman.

The best man was William Conzemius, brother of the bride, and groomsmen were Roger Hendricks and Larry Ciolkosz of Thorp. Serving as ushers were Art Brissette and Norman Dieter.

Following the wedding a 12:30 dinner was served in the Holy Rosary Dining Hall. A reception was held at the Meadowview Country Club from 3:00 until 7:00 o’clock.

Following the wedding trip the newlyweds are making their home at 408 ½ Newton Avenue, Eau Claire.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee Public Schools and is a senior student at the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire.
