Rinehart, Norene A. (15 JUL 1931 - 16 JUL 2013)

Norene A. Rinehart, age 82, of Colby, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at her home under the tender care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 18 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Reverend Mark Neumann will officiate. Burial will be held in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service Thursday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is serving the family.

Norene was born July 15, 1931 in Marathon County, the daughter of August and Alma (Juedes) Thurs. She graduated from Unity High School. Norene was united in marriage to Clifford Rinehart on May 6, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Together they farmed in Marathon County. He preceded her in death in 1987.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby and enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling.

Norene is survived by her three sons: Michael Rinehart of Colby, Brian (Janien) Rinehart of Colby and Rick (Denise) Rinehart of Curtiss; two grandchildren: Corey Rinehart and Josh Rinehart; a step-granddaughter, Serena Meyer; four great-grandchildren: Kya, Ian and Jayden Rinehart and Gage Rinehart; two step-great-granchildren: Railey Podevels and Trinity Olson. She is further survived by two brothers, Kenneth Thurs of Janesville and Roger (Sandy) Thurs of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Eugene and a daughter-in-law, Denise.
