The following area students were named to
the University of Wisconsin-River Falls spring semester dean’s list, having
received a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.
Abbotsford -
Jennifer Brooks, biology major; Chili - Ellen Stichert, Agricultural studies;
Colby - Terese Kay, dairy science; Dorchester - Nicolette Broeske, crops and
soil science; Derek Johnson, conservation; Christine Leiby, agricultural
business; Granton - Kent Genteman, business administration; Loyal - Samantha
Weyer, horticulture; Neillsville - Emily Lavalley, dairy science; Owen - Rebecca
Bauer, agricultural studies, Jenessa Freidhof, agricultural business; Thorp -
Miranda Czubakowski, elementary education; Withee - Kimberly Benzschawel,
chemistry; Lindsey Lindgren, psychology.
The following local students
were among the May graduates of Crown College, located just west of Minneapolis.
Maranatha Elmhorst, Neillsville, earned a degree in music, graduating
Magna Cum Laude (GPA of 3.7 to 3.89); Vincent Elmhorst, Neillsville, earned a
degree in communication, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Joanna Johnson,
Chili, earned a degree in music, graduating Summa Cum Laude (GPA 3.9 to 4.0).
The following Neillsville students have been named to the spring 2013 dean’s
list at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (Minimum 3.5 GPA).

- Brittany Bredlau, Kirsten Shakal and Kylie Shakal
Samantha Thoma, of
Neillsville, was among the spring 2013 graduates of Winona State University,
Winona, MN. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in
nursing.
Tierney McBride, daughter of James and Heidi McBride, Loyal, was
awarded a Bachelor’s of Arts (BA) degree in biology June 9 from Lawrence
University, Appleton. She is a 2009 graduate of Loyal High School.
