Stella was born
March 12, 1938, in Greenwood, Wisconsin to Martin and Mable (Zdryjkowski)
Harycki. She attended Oakland Grade School and graduated from Owen-Withee High
School in 1956. She then worked in Milwaukee and Chicago before marrying James
Laski on August 16, 1958. Stella worked as a secretary for the Withee Grade
School and then for the Owen-Withee High School until 1981. She then worked for
Kerry Foods until retirement.
Stella is survived by her husband, Jim;
daughter, Linda (Mark) Levan, Stoddard; two brothers: Frank (Martha) Harycki,
Greendale and Gerald Harycki, Medford; five grandchildren: and five
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Allan Laski
(son); and Frances Wandrie (sister).
Stella loved to work in her flower
gardens, out-fish her grandsons, and was an avid quilter. She was a member and
past co-president of the Curtiss Corners Quilt club. She received many awards
for her quilts and wall hangings. Stella enjoyed spending time with her birthday
club friends, her family, and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
grow. There was nothing more important to Stella than her family and friends,
and watching the Packer games.
