Shirley A. Schultz, 74,
Loyal, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Funeral
services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, at 11 a.m., on
Friday, July 19. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate.
Burial will be held in
the Lutheran Cemetery, in Loyal, at a later date. Visitation will be held at the
church, on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. There will be an American
Legion Auxiliary service at 10:50 a.m.
Shirley Ann Pahlow was born on
April 14, 1939 in Shawano, the daughter of Harry and Inez (nee Buelter) Pahlow.
She was raised and received her education in the Shawano School District.
Shirley married John A. Schultz
on Sept. 6, 1958, at St. James Lutheran
Church, Shawano. They resided in Shawano, where she was a homemaker and worked
as a matron in the Shawano County Jail. In 1975, they moved to Loyal where
Shirley worked as
the produce manager at the Loyal IGA, was the main cook at
the Loyal American Legion for several years, and worked at the Loyal Food Court
in the Phillips 66 gas station. She also spent several years caring for her
grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Loyal
American Legion Auxiliary. Shirley had many interests, but especially enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends, the casino, playing cards and doing
Word Find puzzle books.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, John,
Loyal; two children, Brian (Debra) Schultz, Fredericksburg, Va., and Traci (Jim)
Breitung, Loyal; five grandchildren, Britney (Larry) Filkoski, Brendon Schultz,
Amanda Schultz, Amy Breitung and Connor Breitung; one great-granddaughter,
Mattie Filkoski; one sister, Sandy (Lee) Habeck, Shawano; and nieces, nephews,
other relatives and many friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents
and one brother, Edward Pahlow.
