Shirley M. Davis, 82, Granton,
died on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at her home. Funeral services were held at 11
a.m., on Wednesday, July 17, at the York Center United Methodist Church. Rev.
Patsy Roe officiated. Music was provided by Lori Rowe. Interment was in the York
Center Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jim Davis, Travis Landwehr, Quenton
Draeger, Daniel Kitzhaber, Allan Kitzhaber and Rick Osborn.
Shirley Marie
Davis was born on Dec. 12, 1930, in the town of York, Granton, the daughter of
Truman Eldred and Myrtie Mae (nee Peaslee) Davis. She lived with her brother,
Warren, her entire life and was a life-long member of the York Center United
Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid. Shirley worked for the Weinbrenner Shoe
Company in Marshfield for many years, retiring in 1984.
She is survived by
her son, Jim (Cindy) Davis, Marshfield; four grandchildren, Jennifer Landwehr,
Jim (Becky) Davis, Tiffany (Quenton) Draeger and Travis (Kari) Landwehr; six
great-grandchildren, Jordan Landwehr, Ashley Landwehr, Evan Davis, Olivia
Draeger, Amelia Hoelzlhammer and Maddie Draeger; a brother, Marvin (Mable)
Davis, Plato, Mo.; three sisters, Angeline (Robert) Schultz, Greenwood, Patricia
(Bernie) Kitzhaber, Greenwood, and Ila Mae (Bill) Wolf, Nekoosa; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a
brother, Warren.
