Augusta Thursday.
Matilda Bredesen has joined the force at this office.
Lloyd Weast left Tuesday morning for the western country.

The Altar Society
will meet with Mrs. J. Volk Thursday, Dec. 17th.
A.L. Putnam of Stevens
Point was a business caller here Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Wollenberg
were visitors at Eau Claire over Sunday.
The King's Daughters will meet
with Mrs. L.J. Van Voorhis Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Theo. Withee arrived
Tuesday morning from Montana where he is dealing in irrigated lands.
Miss
Adella Smith came home from Chicago Monday night for a short visit under the
parental roof.
Ralph Thompson left yesterday for Skokomish, Wash., where
he has a position with the Columbia River Lumber Co.
Mrs. Albert Eidsmoe
and daughter of Crandon, Wis. Arrived Tuesday night for a few weeks visit with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Harlow.
At a regular meeting of the F. &
A.M. last Thursday evening the following officers were elected for the ensuing
year: W.W., F.W. Anderson; S.W., H.H. Hartson; J.W., G. W. D..?.
Miss
Lucy Shanks returned to her work in the sanatarium at Madison last week Monday.
Forest Shanks went to Fond du Lac last Thursday, where he will resume his
duties as conductor.
Dr. Hugh Schofield left Saturday morning for
Prescott, Ariz., where his mother is reported to be very sick.
Mrs. Smith
of Athens and Miss Blecha of West Bend came Friday night for a few days visit
with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blecha.
Mrs. Herb Fradette of Christie drove down
and spent a couple of days here with Mrs. Ross. (Granton News)
Ed
Peterson of Ray, N.D. came back Tuesday morning, he expects to spend a part of
the winter with his folks south of town.
The Lady Maccabees are going to
have election of officers Monday evening, Dec. 14th. All members are requested
to be present.
The Ladies Thursday Club will hold a general business
meeting next Monday evening at the home of Mrs. O.C. Behrens. All members are
requested to be present.
A party was given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. John
Meng last Saturday evening at their home north of town. About sixty were present
and enjoyed themselves at dancing until a late hour. Mr. Meng sold his farm some
time ago to Peter Hecker of St. Niazianze and moved to town last Monday into the
Honeywell house on Division Street. Mr. Hecker took possession on the farm last
Saturday.
