Greenwood (2 April 1970)

The Women’s Guild meeting will be held in the Zion United Church today (Thursday). Mrs. Paul Acker will be in charge of the program. Mrs. George Hoehne and Mrs. James Metcalf will be the hostesses.

The Women’s Society of Christian Service will meet Friday afternoon in Grace United Methodist Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Robert Clintsman and Mrs. Lester Frank. Program chairman be Mrs. Wilbur Stewart.

The Adult Fellowship will meet in Immanuel United Church Sunday evening. Hosts will be Mr. and Mr. Phillip Vollrath, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Horn and Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Wallick. An exchange student from Switzerland will entertain. Anyone interest is invited.

Forrest Queen Royal Neighbors will meet Monday evening in the Zion United Church hall. Hostesses will be Mrs. Joe Susa and Mrs. Julia Koci.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sheets of Boyd were Monday evening guests at the Hugh Severson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Humke and Julie and Jean of Green Bay spent the Easter holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kenyon and Mr. and Mrs. George Humke.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger and Mr. and Mrs. Val Krainz spent the weekend at the Alan Harbort home in Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Querin entertained Sunday in honor of the confirmation of their daughter, Martha. Among those present were the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Wallick.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson visited in Eau Claire Wednesday at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Keiner.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart entertained Wednesday in celebration of the birthday of Mr. Stewart. Guests were Robert Stewart of Stanley, Mrs. M. C. Thompson of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Korn and children of Eau Claire.

Mr. I. J. Koschak is a patient in a Marshfield hospital since Wednesday.

Dale and Judith Brux of Stevens Point were spending a week’s vacation with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Speich and children and Ellen Medearis returned to Rockford, Ill., Sunday after spending days with their parents, Mrs. Jake Speich and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind, Sr.

Dinner guests Sunday at the Lyle Verhulst home were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Verhulst and family, Mr. and Mrs. Celen Gotter and Miss Linda Verhulst of River Falls.

Easter weekend guests at the Bernard Novobielski home were their son, Bernard, Jr., and Miss Sue Strahl of Milwaukee and Mrs. Clara Haas of Oakfield. Mrs. Novobielski is a daughter of Mrs. Haas.
