Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Kuester and Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Toburen attended the funeral of a cousin, Arnold Reineke, at Howards Grove Saturday and spent the weekend with relatives in that area.

The 58th birthday of Adam Roohr was celebrated March 28 at the Clark County Home of the Aged, where he resides.

Mr. and Mrs. James Ellingson, Minette and Todd, of Menomonee Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Ellingson, Daniel and Dianne, of Madison returned home after spending a weekend at the home of their mother, Mrs. Louise Ellingson.

Mr. and Mrs. George Plunkett and children of La Crosse and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Plunkett and family of Chippewa Falls, were recent weekend guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ystad returned Monday after spending several days with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Grutza and family in West Allis and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ystad and family in Reedsburg.

Mr. and Mrs. James Luther and son, Joel, of La Crosse spent Thursday and Friday with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kuester, and with the Leon Kuester family.

The Women’s Guild met in the Zion United Church Thursday afternoon. Hostesses were Mrs. James Metcalf and Mrs. George Hoehne. Mrs. Theodore Abel conducted the meeting. Mrs. Robert Schneider was appointed to buy four additional coffee servers and a 30-cup coffeemaker. Plans were made to send delegates to the Northwest Women’s Association meeting to be held April 27 at the Plymouth United Church of Christ in Eau Claire. An invitation was read from the Women’s Guild of the First Congregational United Church of Owen to attend their “guest day” April 16 at 1:30 p.m. The program included readings by Mrs. Paul Acker and Mrs. Richard Acker. The lesson was given by the Rev. David Logue. The next meeting will be held May 7. Hostesses will be Mrs. Paul Acker, Mrs. Richard Acker, Mrs. Adolph Abel and Mrs. Theodore Abel.
