Duell, Kenneth (08 June 1913-02 Oct

Funeral services were held Monday at the Myre Fuineral Home in
Loyal at 2 p.m. for Kenneth M. Duell, 51, who took his own life on Friday on
Friday, October 2.
The Rev. Carl Grothkob, pastor of the Medford Baptist
Church officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mr. Duell
was born June 8, 1913 in Loyal and received his education here. He was married
to Caroline Kohring of Medford on April 22, 1950.
After their marriage
the couple operated the Richter Lake Resort near Perkintown. They moved to Loyal
in 1952 where he was a city employee until 1959, when he was employed as
custodian at the Loyal Public Schools. Mr. Duell was a member of the Loyal
Volunteer Fire Department, the Loyal Sportsman Club, the Loyal Methodist Church,
and was a dance inspector and deputy police officer.

attended the funeral service in a body. Pallbearers were Neil Johnston, Bryon
Zepplin, H. E. Catlin, Lloyd Zimmerman, John Castner Jr., and Loathar Oestreich.
The hymns “In The Garden,” and “Beyond the Sunset” were sung by Mrs. Paul
Doering, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.
In addition to
his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Diane) Bryan, Beloit;
and Cathy at home; a son Kenneth Jr., at home; his mother Mrs. Anna Duell,
Loyal; a brother, Merlin Duell, Loyal; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Smith,
Greenwood; and Mrs. Floyd (Verle) Streng, Jefferson; and one granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother,
