Luzinski, Chester Sylvester (18 December 1923 - 18 July
2013)
Chester S. Luzinski, age 89, of rural Thorp, passed away on
Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his home. A graveside service was held on Tuesday,
July 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, about one mile west of
Withee, WI on County Rd. X.
Chester Sylvester Luzinski was born on
December 18, 1923, on the family farm near Lublin, WI to Teofil and Ella
(Kostick) Luzinski. He was raised on the farm, attending rural school and passed
away on the farm. Chet was a dairy farmer most of his life, and worked his land
for crops to feed “his girls” (the cows). During his early life he had a few
side jobs, but spent most of his time working the farm. He cared for his mother
until her passing in 1982. Chet was a master of one-liners, always providing an
“int4eresting” analogy with colorful language for any situation.
Chet
was an avid hunter, always wondering if “the big one” was around. He enjoyed the
challenge of jigsaw puzzles, especially those with outdoor animal scenes.
Chet is survived by nephews: Michael and Ronald Luzinski; nieces: Kathy
Serold and Darlene Hogan; his valued social workers and friends. He was preceded
in death by his parents; his brothers: Steve, Mike and Louie Luzinski; and one
sister, Ann Krzyzanski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chester’s honor
may be given to Taylor County Human Services, Taylor County Commission on Aging,
or your favorite charity.
