Kodl, Shari Valeria (20 August 1955 - 10 July 2013)

Shari V. Kodl, age 57, of Stanley, passed away at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield, on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at St. Bernard-
St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Rev. Al Jakubowski officiated and burial followed in New St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, and at the church, on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Shari Valeria Kodl was born on August 20, 1955, in Stanley, WI, the daughter of Emil and Valeria (Twarowski) Kodl. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in Stanley, graduating from Stanley High School in 1973. Shari held various jobs, including elderly home care for people in Stanley. She worked at I.T.T. in Thorp for 10 years, and was a waitress at the Long Branch Bar for Shirley Tieman.

She was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church and enjoyed being outdoors and doing lawn care.

Shari is survived by her mother, Valeria Kodl, of Stanley, and one brother, Ted Kodl of Stanley.

She was preceded in death by her father.
