------ Merriman, Rose (??– 25 MAR 1965)
A former grade school principal in the Abbotsford
schools, Mrs. Rose Merriman of Owen, died in Spokane, Wash., at the age of 87 on
March 25. She will be buried from
the Holy Rosary church in Owen shortly after her body arrives from the west,
probably sometime this week. Friends
and relatives can obtain information concerning the funeral and services by
calling the Kraut and Hoepper Funeral Home, Owen.
Mrs. Merriman’s teaching in Curtiss and Abbotsford
started in the early 1920’s and extended into the 30’s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern, in 1943.
Her sons, Daniel and Bernard, live in Idaho and her daughter, Catherine
(Mrs. Gordon K. Le Gault) lives in Stanley.
Two of her sisters, Mrs. Ann Meuli and Mrs. Theresa McKlusky, reside in
Eau Claire. She leaves 13 grand
children and two great grand children.
