Schemmer, Dr. Anthony L. (2 AUG 1890 - 23 AUG 1951)
Funeral services for Dr. Anthony L. Schemmer, 61, of Colby, were held Tuesday at
10 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic church in New Holstein with the Rt. Rev.
George A. Schemmer as celebrant of the solemn requiem high mass.
The
Rev. Fr. Herbert, S.O. S., of St. Nazianz, was deacon and the Rev. Robert Klein
of Jericho sub-deacon. The Rev. B. Marx of Chilton master of ceremonies, and the
Rev. Fr. Beade, S.O.S. of St. Nazianz, knelt in the sanctuary. Interment was
made in St. Mary’s cemetery at Chilton.
Pallbearers were Dr. F. P.
Larme, Dr. A. C. Engel, A. W. Mulhein, Paul Langenfeld, Elwin Meyer and Henry
Dorn.
Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Liebmann, Ed Liebmann, Miss Olivia Weber, Mrs. Clarence Rothe, Mrs. Herman
Bishop and Mrs. Julius Stuska, Green Bay, Mrs. McGrath and daughter, Appleton,
Mrs. William Schundle and Mrs. and Mrs. Robert Goessling, Milwaukee; Mr. and
Mrs. Bud Hemmy, Juneau, and many others from Colby, Sheboygan, Plymouth, Chilton
and vicinity.
