The Altar Society will meet with Mrs. Peter Knop on Thursday,
Feb. 11.
The Ladies Aid Society will meet with Mrs. Hogue Friday
afternoon, Feb. 5th.
The Thursday Club will meet with Mrs. Orrick this
afternoon( Thursday), Feb. 4th.
Forrest Shanks came home from Fond du Lac
last Friday and returned again Tuesday.
Mrs. Harry Hogue, Mrs. John
Shanks and Mrs. Frank Zetsche were Marshfield visitors Thursday.
Mrs.
Wilson of Chicago is visiting with her friend Miss Adelia Smith, who has been
quite ill for some time.
Mrs. Sam St. John returned to Owen Tuesday after
spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Raymond.
Saturday evening, Feb. 13, St. Valentine extends a cordial invitation to all to
attend a party in the M.W.A. Hall given by the L.O.T.M.
The meetings in
the Baptist Church closed last Sunday evening. Rev. F.A. Hayward was expected to
return to hold meetings this week, but was unable to do so.
C.O. Baker of
Grand Rapids is spending a few days with his son, K.W. Baker.
Wm. Steiger
came home from Madison Monday, having completed the farmers short course.
Viola Pfunder spent Sunday with her parents and returned to Owen Monday to
resume her school duties.
Mrs. Harry Livesay of Fond du Lac came Monday
for a few days visit with her mother, Mrs. Rosa Alton. She returned home
yesterday.
F.M. Carter was a business caller at Eau Claire last Thursday
and Friday. The governor reports that he bought and sold several horses while
there.
Services Sunday evening at the Methodist Church, subject - "He has
Gone Away, Where Did He go?", text - Matt. 19:22. Everybody is invited to
attend.
D.M. Foster of Jefferson has been visiting at the home of J.
Quast for several days. He returned to his home again Monday. Mr. Foster is a
cousin of Mrs. E.H. Thompson, formerly of this city.
