Mrs. C. Ecker
of Whitehall and Mrs. J. Christie of Minnesota attended the funeral of their
brother, Robert McKimm.
The Ladies Aid held at Mrs. Chas. Broker's, was
well attended.
There was a surprise party at Hall Richardson's last
Saturday evening.
Bruce Armitage has been hauling bolts to Granton and
logs to Mr. C. Northrup's sawmill for the past two weeks.
The Dilman boys
are busy hauling logs to Northrup's mill.
Dan Timerson of York is hauling
rock from Hannas mound.
Robert McKimm, who died Jan. 22, 1909, was 53
years and 14 days of age. He was well respected as a neighbor and friend. He
leaves four children to mourn his death, his son Clare, Mrs. Hugh, Mrs. J.
Redmond and Mrs. J. Jebus, all of Portland, Oregon. They were unable to attend
his funeral on account of washouts on the railroads. The funeral took place in
York Center. Rev. N.F. Chapman of Neillsville officiated.
