An interesting letter from B.L. Bailey of Portland, Ore. Was received at this office in which he asks if the Gleaner had heard of the marriages of two former Greenwood damsels. He states, "I refer to the recent marriage of Louisa Fricke Ware and Miss Mary Garitz. The former's name is now Mrs. Bauer and the latter's, Mrs. Miller. The Greenwood Heading and Lumber Co. has been enjoying a good season's run at the sawmill this year. Saturday night when the mill closed for the week, 643,603 feet of lumber had been sawed and there still remains nearly 300,000 feet of logs on the roll way. A total of nearly 1,000,000 feet of lumber will have been cut when the season's run is completed. Not for years has there been so many logs brought in by the farmers, as this and this too in face of the fact that long ago the finest supply was supposed to have been exhausted, but still the sawmills over the country are stocked with timer each season until it would seem that the supply would never end.
