College Notes (Various colleges - 2013)

The following Neillsville students were named to the Western Technical College President’s List of High Distinction (grade point average (GPA) 3.5 or higher) for the spring 2013 semester: Jennifer Hart, culinary management program, and Amanda Morstatter, radiography program.

The following area students have been named to the UW-Oshkosh spring 2013 honors list:

Neillsville - Allison Abel, honor roll (GPA 3.3 or higher); Sandy Bautch, honor roll; Megan Hemstrom, dean’s list (GPA 3.75 or higher); Owen - Kassondra Batchelor, honor roll; Craig Devine, honor roll; Brad Weiler, honor roll

The following Neillsville students were named t o the UW-Green Bay spring 2013 honors list: Courtney Pickett, semester high honors (GPA 3.75 to 3.99); Brianna Wegner, semester high honors.

Nicole Williams, of Owen, has been named to the 2013 spring semester honor’s list (GPA 3.5 to 3.99) of Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The following area students were named to the Lawrence University (Appleton) 2013 dean’s list (GPA 3.4 or higher):

Tierney McBride - She is the daughter of James and Heidi McBride, Loyal, and a 2009 graduate of Loyal High School; Amber Bochte - She is the daughter of Judith Trunkel, Neillsville, and a 2008 graduate of Neillsville High School.

The following area students were name dot the UW-Platteville 2013 spring semester dean’s list:

Owen - Katherine Gokey and Jonathan Nosko; Thorp - Caleb Gintner; Unity - Michelle Seefeld

Rebekah Houser of Dorchester graduated from Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, following the spring 2013 semester. Houser earned a bachelor’s of Arts (BA) in Elementary Education. She is the daughter of Jim and Lynn Houser of Dorchester.

The following Neillsville students are among the May 2013 graduates of UW-La Crosse: Stephanie Attoe, BS, middle childhood through early adolescence education major, honors; Leah Ewoldt, BX, psychology major.

Kate Eloranta, of Owen, has been named to the 2013 spring semester dean’s list (GPA 3.66 or higher) of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is a student in the College of Liberal Arts.
