Adeline E.
Neitzel, 97, Owen, died on Thursday, July 25 at Clark County Health Care Center
in Owen, where she had resided the past seven years. Funeral services were held
on Tuesday, July 30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss, with Pastor Kris
Bjerke-Ulliman officiating. Burial was at Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss.
Pallbearers were Marie and Steve Thomas, Mark, Tammy, Dane, Loreann and Ernest
Jensen.
Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family
with arrangements.
The former Adeline Hamm was born on November 22, 1915
in the Town of Hoard, Clark County, to the late Frank and Hattie (Perlburg)
Hamm. She attended Park Grade School in the Town of Hoard. She did housework in
Hurley and Ironwood, Mich., then returned home and worked on the family farm.
On September 23, 1936 in Dorchester, she married Ernest Neitzel, who
preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. They farmed in the Town of Hoard
until retirement in 1972. She entered Clark County Health Care Center in 2006.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening,
crafts and her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Vera (Bruce) Jensen
of Dorchester; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Hamm of Curtiss, Annabell Neitzel
of Holway and Ruth Neitzel of Abbotsford; three grandchildren, Marie (Steve)
Thomas, Mark (Tammy) Jensen and Dane (Lorean) Jensen; nine great-grandchildren;
and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and
husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dale Jensen in 2010; two
sisters, Hannah Rahn and Amelia Neitzel; and four brothers, William "Bill,"
Frank "Boots," Henry and Edward.
