Fred Heiking and Vera Gardner
were married November 25, 1914 at Loyal, by Rev. Mr/ Powell, Pastor of the Loyal
Methodist Church. They have spent their entire married life in and around Loyal.
They farmed for 43 years, retiring in 1957 and now live in this city of Loyal.
They were entertained November 28by the couples’ nieces and nephews at the
Star Lodge Motel with a family dinner, later returning to the Heiking home for
refreshments. The honored couple received many congratulatory messages, gifts
and money.
