Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Giese of Loyal celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Christmas day with a dinner party held at the Star Lodge Motel dining room.

Those attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Giese and sons Richard, Russell and Ronald of Rice Lake and Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Giese Jr. and daughter Sally Ann, of Richland Center.

Richard Giese and Caroline Bender were united in marriage at Shawno, December 25, 1909. Before retirement, Mr. Giese was a cheesemaker for many years in the Loyal area.
