Lew, Katherine (18 NOV 1891 – 19 OCT 1964)
Funeral
services were held at St. Mary’s National Catholic Church on Friday, October
23rd for Katherine Lew, 72, who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield, Oct. 19, 1964. Rev. Anthony Matla officiated at the ten a.m. service
and burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John
Szemrag, John Sawka, George Kostick, John Kostick, John Luzinski and Anton
Luzinski.
Katherine Tyznik was born November 18, 1891 in Poland. She came
to America in February 1908 and spent most of her life in the town of Withee.
She was united in marriage to John Lew on January 21, 1913 in St. Louis,
Missouri. They retired 6 years ago and moved to the village of Lublin where she
has since resided.
Surviving are her husband, John, six sons; Walter of
Withee; Mike of Lublin; John of Corvallis, Montana; Frank of Pocatello, Idaho;
Henry and Stanley of Gilman; one daughter (Helen) Mrs. Roy Smith of Chicago;
three brothers: John Tyznik of Lublin; Walter Tyznik of Thorp; Nick Tyznik of
Colby; two sisters: (Anna) Mrs. John Majkowicz and (Eva) Mrs. Paul Warczek, both
of Milwaukee.
