Owen Resident is Seriously Burned
Les Frahman, Owen, an employee of
the North Central Wisconsin Dairymen’s Cooperative, was seriously burned
recently while he was washing out the vats at the whey plant. During the
process, the gate hinge on an eight-inch valve broke, and a heavy stream of hot
water and steam rushed out, pinning him against the wall.
Mr. Frahman was
given first aid in Owen by Dr. Phillips before being taken by ambulance to St.
Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He suffered first and second degree burns to
his body and third degree burns to his hands.
