Baker, 89, Stanley, died Wednesday at Victory Memorial Hospital. He and his
wife, Effie, had been married 67 years.
Funeral rites were held Saturday
at 2 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Christianson officiating.
Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery.
Born in Mauston, he farmed many years
in the Eidsvold community. He and Mrs. Baker were married here April 9, 1897.
She survives, in addition to one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Korn, Stanley; one
son, Alfred, Dorchester; three sisters: Mrs. Stella Brady, Abbotsford; Mrs.
Alice Notman, Marinette; Mrs. Frank Kline, Loyal; two brothers: Lester, Sharon
and Floyd, Minneapolis; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
