Potter, Mrs. Doris Elizabeth
(Marriage - 11 April 1970)
Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Potter and James L.
Simenson, both of Neillsville, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday at St.
John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the
double-ring ceremony.
The bride was attired in a pastel yellow shift
style dress and wore a corsage of lavender orchids. Her matron-of-honor, Mrs.
Harley (Helen) Miller, wore an identical dress of pastel green and an orchid
corsage.
Rudy Opelt served as best man.
Kendall Smith sang, “O
Perfect Love” and “The Lord’s Prayer,” accompanied at the organ by Victor
Lehmann.
Following the ceremony a reception and dinner was held at the
Silver Dome Supper club with 53 guests attending. An open house and a dance were
held Saturday night in their honor at the Wildcat Inn.
After they return
from a week’s wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Simenson will reside on Route 3,
Neillsville.
Guests were from Ripon, Oshkosh, River Falls, Wisconsin
Rapids, Milwaukee, Menomonie and Goodhue, Minn.
