Volland, Sharon Rose (Marriage - 4 April 1970)
Miss Sharon Rose Volland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Volland of Rt.
3 Neillsville, was united in marriage at 7 p.m. April 4 at the Christie Lutheran
Church to Stanley Gene Ratsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ratsch of Rt. 1
Greenwood. The Rev. Robert Bitter performed the double-ring ceremony.
The
bride was attired in an A-line taffeta bridal gown accented with Venice lace as
she was escorted to the altar by her father. Her gown featured a shoulder chapel
train and a lace and pearl headpiece secured a veil of bouffant illusion. She
carried a bouquet of white and aqua stephanotis, white glamelia and green ivy.
Miss Joyce Schneider, maid-of-honor, wore a short sleeved gown of aqua
chiffon over taffeta with matching headpiece and carried a bouquet of aqua
carnations and purple asters with ivy.
Thomas Lulloff served as best
man.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
The bride is a 1968 graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed at
W. H. N. Mfg., Neillsville. The groom, a 1968 graduate of Loyal High School, is
employed at Spencer.
Mr. and Mrs. Ratsch are residing in an apartment at
the Globe Store.
