Father Charles Hiebl, a native of Milan, was
granted senior priest status by Bishop William Callahan effective July 2.
Fr. Hiebl completed 51 years of priesthood in May. The parish council of
Catholic Women of St. Thomas in Milan held a farewell gathering and luncheon at
St. Thomas Church hall June 23.
He will assist at parishes in Colby,
Abbotsford and Dorchester. He will also help pastors in Marshfield covering St.
Joseph’s Hospital for sacramental ministry. His retirement is in September.
