Humbird (23 April 1970)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Noyes and Mrs.
Herb Green of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. John Greub spent Sunday at the Chet
Bailey home.
Mrs. Gordon Boettcher and Judy of Taylor were supper guests
Friday at the home of Mrs. Emma Gerber. Judy remained for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart of Neillsville visited Thursday at the Cullen Dignin
home. Mr. Hart recently underwent surgery.
Mrs. Elgie Hardwick came home
Thursday after a visit in Fargo, N. D., with her daughter, Mrs. Carroll Kelsh
and family, and son, Dale Hardwick and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe
drove to Neillsville Monday to call on her brother, Ben Clouse of Loyal, who is
in the hospital and will have surgery. They also called on Mr. Laffe’s sister,
Mary Iffland, in Memorial Home.
Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Leon Mitchell
of Strum, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Chet Bailey, drove to Muchguna to attend
the golden wedding anniversary open house of a relative.
Mr. and Mrs.
John Aebersold of Rockford, Ill., visited Thursday at the homes of her brother,
Richard Zimmerman, Mrs. Emma Gerber and William Aebersold.
Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Easterson of Eau Claire were dinner guests of Mrs. Emma Gerber Friday.
Mrs. Arnold Matti had work from her son’s wife, Mrs. Ralph Finnegan that
Ralph had been a hospital patient for a week was home but must take life easy
for a while.
Bobby Fitzmaurice of Augusta, recently of Humbird, was a
patient in Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, with infection on his feet. He was
able to come home Thursday and will be cared for at home. He is a grandson of
Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice.
Mr and Mrs. Everett Smith and family of
Spencer spent Saturday with his mother, Mrs. Matie Smith. Mr. and Mrs. William
Staves also were dinner guests there.
Mr and Mrs. Herbert Held and family
of Menomonee Falls were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Flood.
Mrs. Doris Heding of Union Center and Evelyn Overton of Madison were
overnight guests Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe.
Mrs.
Pearl Johnson came home Friday from a winter in Marshfield and will be here now
for a while.
Mr and Mrs. Glen Colwell of Taylor were here Sunday, Mrs.
Colwell to spend the day with her mother, Mrs. Harriette Gorst, while he was a
business visitor in Bloomer. Both were supper guests of Mrs. Gorst.
