Rothenbach, John Andrew (25 September 1916 - 31 July 2013) With

John Rothenbach, 96, of Granton died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at
the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.
John Andrew Rothenbach
was born Sept. 25, 1916, in Springfield, MO, the son of John Earl and Pearl Mae
(Patterson) Rothenbach. He was united in marriage to Bessie Mae Geer Nov. 25,
1936. Later, John enlisted into the United States Army and served during WWII.
John worked as a welder for JI Case and Epson Industries in Rockford, IL, and as
a metal polisher for Walker Stainless in New Lisbon and Elroy. He retired at the
age of 62 from Baker Manufacturing in Evansville, IL, where he galvanized parts.
After retirement, John and Bessie moved to Texas. They move to Granton in 1995
to live with their daughter. Bessie died in 1998.
He is survived by five
children, Mary (Francis) Baker of Granton, John (Becky) Rothenbach of San
Antonio, TX, James Rothenbach of Stevens Point, Peter (Diana) Rothenbach of
Pleasanton, TX, and Donald (Karen) Rothenbach of Monroe; 17 grandchildren, 22
great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded
in death by his wife, Bessie; two daughters, Donna and Cindy; a grandson, Keith;
two great-grandsons, Christopher and Christian; a brother, Bill; and sisters,
Connie, Dorothy and Nona.
A memorial service for John was held at 4 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marshfield. John was a
member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marshfield.
