College Notes (7 August 2013)
Katy Sunsdahl Montgomery graduated May 25
from the University of St. Thomas with a Master of Science degree in special
education with an emphasis on the autism spectrum.
The following
Neillsville students were among the spring 2013 graduates of the UW-Madison:
Sheila M. Opelt, Bachelor of Science (BS), dietetics, nutritional sciences
major; Ashley M. Volovsek, Master of Social Work, social work major; Lauren E.
Watson, Bachelor of Arts (BA), communication sciences and disorders major.
Jesse J. Clark, Neillsville, a Letters & Science undergraduate, was named to
the spring 2013 semester dean’s list of UW-Milwaukee.
The following area
students were among the spring 2013 graduates of UW-Eau Claire:
Neillsville - Jared Boucher, BA, College of Arts and Sciences, criminal justice
major; Keith Dawson, BS, College of Education and Human Sciences, kinesiology
major; Kristina Evans, BX, College of Education major; Kelly Opelt, BSN, College
of Nursing and Health Sciences, nursing major; Kristin Perkl, MS (Master of
Science), College of Education and Human Sciences, communication sciences and
disorders major; Zachary Tilson, BBA, College of Business, health care
administration major.
Owen - Shawna Lawcewicz, BA, College of Arts and
Sciences, criminal justice major;
Jennifer Hart, of Neillsville,
graduated from Western Technical College in the Culinary Management program.
The following area students were named to the spring semester dean’s list at
Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN: Morgan Huber, daughter of Phil and Karen
Huber of Colby, was awarded with Highest Honors (GPA 3.90 to 4.0). She is
pursuing a degree in elementary education and Spanish education.
Frank
Schmidt, son of Kristen Schmidt of Neillsville, was awarded with Highest Honors.
He is pursuing a degree in Biblical studies.
Benjamin Streckert, son of
Mark and Cindy Streckert of Unity, was awarded Highest Honors. He is pursuing a
degree in English.
