Ballard, Peter Owen (12 March 1970 - 26 July 2013)

Peter O. Ballard, age 43, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, in the Town of Delmar, rural Boyd. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in thorp, with Rev. Al Jakubowski and Rev. Don Meuret concelebrating. Burial followed in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Traci Krueger, John Krueger, Josh young, matt Young, Cory Sobralski, Jeff Dillard and Sebastian Neisius. Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral home on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary service. Visitation was also held at the church, on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Peter Owen Ballard was born on March 12, 1970, in Michigan City, IN, the son of William and Peggy (Baker) Ballard. He graduated from River Valley High School in Three Oaks, MI. Peter was employed as a factory worker in the metal fabrication industry until he moved to Stanley, WI, in 2011 to take care of his parents. Peter was a devoted and loving son, brother and father.

In his spare time he loved motocross racing, arm wrestling, bodybuilding, and all sports in general.

He is survived by his three children: Cody, Tyler, and Aryan Ballard, all of Stanley; his parents: William and Peggy Ballard, of Stanley; one brother, Joey Ballard of Benton Harbor, MI; one sister, Charlotte Fontaine of Benton Harbor, MI; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; one brother, David Ballard; and one sister, Tina Ballard.
