Hartson, H.E. (Retiring from
Gleaner - AUG 1909)
(From Wisconsin Leader)
"With its last issue,
Editor H.E. Hartson retired from the editorial staff of the Greenwood Gleaner
and M.C. Baldwin made his introductory as editor. The Gleaner is one of the good
papers of Clark County that comes to our office and we hope to see it continue
to be as good as it has been and enjoy prosperity."
(From Colby
Phonograph)
"Brother Hartson of the Greenwood Gleaner has engaged the
services of M.C. Baldwin of Sea isle City, N.J., as editor and manager of the
Gleaner. Mr. Baldwin is a thorough, up-to-date newspaper man, as the last issue
of the Gleaner proves. We welcome Bro. Baldwin to the Clark County ranks, and
wish him success."
(from Withee Sentinel)
"The Greenwood Gleaner
has changed editors. Mr. M.C. Baldwin is the new man who takes upon himself the
responsibilities of the Gleaner. In his first issue he presents his greetings to
the patrons of the paper. The Sentinel wishes him success."
