Nichols, Robert S. (4 MAY 1930 - 10 AUG 2013)

Robert S. “Bob” Nichols, age 83, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Tomah Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 4, 1930 to Scott and Myrtle (Anderson) Nichols in Whitehall, Wisconsin. He was a 1948 graduate of Whitehall High School.

Following high school, he served in the United States Air Force and also attended the University of Wisconsin Madison where he was a 1957 graduate. He was united in marriage to Elaine Seibold June 22, 1957 in Greenwood, WI. They moved to Tomah, Wisconsin in 1967. Bob worked in data processing forming EDP Services Inc. in 1977 and retired in 1999. He was an Eagle Scout and a lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine “Nonie”, his children, Steve (Kris) Nichols of Tomah, WI and their children, Rhianna and Rachael, Deborah Nichols of Minneapolis, MN, Scott (Lynn) Nichols and their children, Addison, Ellington, Emmarie and Evaline all of Oak Grove, MN, Robert John (fiance’, Candice) Nichols of Tomah, WI and children, Timothy, Kayla and Andrew Nichols and Mary (Uche) Nichols-Dike and their children, Alexa, Amara and Chimere all of Waukesha, WI, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Myrtle, his sisters, Margaret Brown, Betty Nichols and Marwood Mays, a grandson, Harrison Nichols, brothers-in-law, Dean Brown, Robert Mays and Val Schaff.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Tomah. Pastor William Swan will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Whitehall Cemetery, Whitehall, WI, at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
