Hewett (3 Feb 1916)
H.D. Lockman transacted business here the first of the week.
Mrs. Ed.
Wightman of Tioga spent the past week with her mother, Mrs. Wood, returning home
Sunday.
Several of the boys here were coasting down the Dave Wood hill in
a cutter and had the misfortune to break their sleigh, which spoiled their fun.
Several of the dirty nine spent Saturday evening at Will Dux’s. The evening
was spent playing smear. The party was complete, there being only nine.
Nearly everyone has a peculiar step since so much ice is on the ground.
