Pleasant Ridge (10 Feb 1916)
Joe and O.E. Counsell and
Arlo Huckstead are attending the farmers’ convention at Madison this week.
Miss Sadie Blackman left Friday for Bunker Hill, Indiana, to visit her
sister. Her brother, E. Robert, accompanied her as far as Merrillan. She will
spend a day in Chicago with her friend, Miss Grace Fischer, and a few days with
Myra Jahr at Campaign, Ill., before going to her new home in Wyoming about March
1st.
A family moved into the Ed. Huckstead house.
Mrs. Fred
Darling and son left Saturday for Waupaca to join her husband, who has work
there. Her brother, Rube King, accompanied her as far as Marshfield.
Wm.
West, Sr., fell on the ice Saturday, breaking two ribs and bruising himself up
quite badly. Dr. Bachman was called. He is some easier. Mrs. E. Jahr also fell
