Shortville (17 Feb 1916)

Jim Short visited at his father’s Sunday.

H. Frantz and family visited at R. Frantz’s Sunday.

We understand that the gravel hauling is being done and the pit is frozen a good 5 feet.

Geo. Fisher has been working for R. Frantz on the gravel haul.

The measles are well distributed here. The Stevens, Carter, Kegley, Fuetz, Winters, Kauth, and Ed. Short families are shut in.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Dudgeon last week, a son.

Dr. Bradbury was called to see H. Carter Monday morning.

Grandma Savage is staying at Carter’s helping care for the sick.

The farmers have filled the ice house at the Shortville cheese factory for their own use.
