Mrs. John
Stewart was suffering from the effects of a fellon on her hand.
Several
families of native American citizens passed through town on Tuesday.
Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Schofield gave a lawn party for Hugh and Allie.
H.G.
Andress of Marshfield was here and sold to the Board of Education, the furniture
for the new school rooms.
Peter Johnson, brother of Mrs. Richard Welen,
arrived from Chistiana, Norway, on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Bishop were called to Camp Douglas on wedn
to attend the funeral of her father, Isaac Allds.
Stephen Jones of Christie found a ready market wedn
for 25 bushels of Durchess of Oldenburg apples at $1.00 a bushel.
Mrs. J.C. Miller and daughter Maud had quite an exciting
experience while returning home from Neillsville one day last week. When
near Chrisite post office, a drunken farmer drove up behind them, yelling and
running his horses. He drove up close behind them and then pulled his team
out to go by them, but struck the hind wheel of their buggy, smashing it and
