Walde, Lewis Fredrick Jr.

Lewis Fredrick Walde Jr., 51, Greenwood, died Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at St.
Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 1997, at Rinka
Funeral Home, Greenwood. Father
Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was
in the Greenwood City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Frueh, Don Walde, Dale Walde, Doug Hansen, Jim Engevold,
and Dennis Hansen.
Lewis Fredrick Walde Jr. was born on Oct. 2, 1945, in Owen, to Lewis F. Sr. and
Evelyn (nee Ohnemus) Walde. He
received his education in Greenwood graduating from Greenwood High School.
He worked at Stewart’s Redville Dairy as a cheesemaker.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 20, 1967, and served in Vietnam.
He married Marilyn Engevold on Feb. 27,
1971, at Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood.
She survives. He was discharged
from the Navy on June 27, 1971. He
then went to work for Rasmussen’s Dairy.
He also worked for several mobile home manufacturers before accepting a
job with Fiskars, where he worked for the past six years.
He enjoyed hunting and TV repair.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Denise Walde, Greenwood; two sons, Don
Walde, Eau Claire; and Dale (Michelle) Walde, Greenwood; his father, Lewis F.
Walde Sr., Owen; and one sister, Donna (James) Boe, Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
