The Teachers' Institute opened
up one of the most successful weeks ever held in Clark County, about 70 being
enrolled. The institute was under the direction of W.E. Morrison and W.L. Terry,
assisted by County Supt. Geo. F. Crothers, and on Thursday evening a large
audience listened to Dr. J.W. Stearns of the State University at the M.E.
church.
Joe Mack was digging a well for Rev. Hendren.
The Y's gave
an entertainment to a large and enthusiastic audience.
The old barn and
shed on the corner of Main and Mills Streets were removed and greatly improved
the appearance of the street.
