A bevy of young ladies who attended the institute brought their
tent and camped out near the Black River Bridge.
A.L. Peterson split
three fingers of his left hand on a shingle saw Monday.
The residence of
Geo. Harlow in the first ward caught fire around the chimney, but was discovered
and put out before much damage was done.
The young people had a good time
at a lawn party given by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schofield. The lawn was illuminated
with torches and Japanese lanterns.
Teachers' examinations were taking
place Friday and Saturday afternoon.
