Three loads of Royal Neighbors from this city left here at
about eight o'clock Friday morning enroute for the grand rally of the Royal
Neighbors of Loyal, Greenwood, York Center and Neillsville Camps, which was held
in the latter city on Friday afternoon, Aug. 27, at the Woodman Hall. The
Greenwood camp was accompanied by Roy Tuttle, and arrived at Neillsville at
about noon, where they took dinner at the O'Neill House. Members of the order
from Spencer and Granton were also present.
District Deputy Sarah Denham
and Eva Childs, a supreme officer, were in attendance when Neillsville initiated
seven new members to the order.
At six o'clock a bountiful supper was
served, and in the evening a fine program was rendered and a lecture listened to
with interest.
Thos who attended the rally from this place were: Mesdames
H. Hogue, E. Cox, J. Volk, E. Buker, H. Johnson, Mrs. Sherman, Wm. Hogue, D.
Cook, Geo. Van Voorhis, H.H. Hartson, H. Pratt, C. Clute, Amundson, E. Van
Voorhis, O. Prellwitz, J.S. Sloniker, A. Delaney. H. Hewett, A. Rosen, D.
Gustafson, Misses Clute, Masters, Olson, Vates, Huntzicker, Josie Johnson,
Dellamae and Ethyl Hogue.
Nine of the party came home before the storm
and the rest stayed to listen to the evening program and arrived home early in
the morning. They all report having a most enjoyable time.

of Unity was in this city on business Monday and was among the pleasant callers
at this office.
Miss Edna Burch of Greenwood was here the forepart of the
week for a brief visit with Mrs. Arthur Cadman (Fairchild Observer)

Andrews, cashier of Colby State Bank, was the guest of his mother, Mrs. Harriet
Andrews, Tuesday night, returning Wednesday.
Hastings Baird left Tuesday
morning for Wenatchee, Wash., where he has secured a position as head sawyer for
a large lumber concern.
Miss Lois Mason, who has been the guest of H.H.
Hartson and family the past two months, left for her home at Wabasha, Minn. this
morning.
The Kelly children are enjoying a visit from their cousins,
Cecile and Glen Marsh of Hixton, also Leo and Carol Davidson of La Valle.
Rev. W.T. Hendren expects to hold religious services in the Cole Schoolhouse
in the Janesville Settlement, Sunday, Sept. 12th, at 10:30 a.m.
