Pekny, Frances (29 October 1897 - 6 May 1970)
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Frances) Pekny, 72, of Chili who died May 6,
were held at 1 p.m. Friday from the Hansen Chapel in Marshfield. The Rev. Wesley
Dafoe, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church officiated and burial was made
in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago, Ill.
The former Frances
Arbelovsky was born October 29, 1897, in Czechoslovakia. At the age of 16 she
came to America and settled in Chicago, Ill. She married Frank Pekny June 21,
1919, at Cicero, Ill. They celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary last
year.
They lived near Chicago until 1931, moving then to a farm near
Chili. About 12 years ago they moved into the village of Chili.
Survivors
include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Davis and Mrs. Jeanette Mayer,
both of Hobart, Ind.; a brother, Joseph Arbelovsky of Chili; five grandchildren
and a great-grandchild.
