Pekol, Rose J. (3 SEP 1913 - 4 AUG 2013)
Rose J. Pekol, 89, Greenwood, died on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Our Lady of
Victory Hospital, Stanley. A private family burial will take place at a later
date.
Rose Julia Simonelic was born on Sept. 3, 1913, in Chicago, Ill.,
the daughter of Frank Sr. and Louise (nee Trinko) Simonelic. She was raised in
the Chicago area and married Edward Pekol on Oct. 21, 1944. They
moved to
Willard and later to Greenwood. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church
in Willard. She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with
her family.
Rose will be dearly missed by her children, Rosalie (Charles)
Volk, Yellville, Ark., Marlene (Donald) Kaczmarek, Withee, Edward Pekol,
Greenwood, and Robert (Christy) Pekol, Eau Claire; nine grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Louis (Shirley)
Simonelic, Las Vegas, Nev.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; two sisters,
Mary and Lillian; and six brothers Paul, John, George, Joe, Tony and Frank
Simonelic Jr.
