Dillenbeck, Roger Albert (11 September 1894 - 1970)

Roger Albert Dillenbeck, 75, of Marshfield, former Greenwood resident, died Sunday, at the Marshfield Convalescent Center where he was admitted two weeks ago after a lingering illness.

Mr. Dillenbeck, son of Albert and Martha Jane (Gibson) Dillenbeck, was born September 11, 1894, in Janesville. He was married April 20, 1921, in Globe to Dorothea Spranger. She died July 15, 1961.

At the age of seven he came with his parents to Greenwood. After his marriage he farmed in Janesville Settlement, southwest of Greenwood, until December, 1944, when they went to Marshfield, where he was employed for 20 years. He retired at the age of 72.

He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and the Methodist Church in Marshfield.

He is survived by a son, Harold, of Greenwood; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Lee Holmes of Marshfield officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
