Marg, Edward (28 July 1896 - 28 May 1970)
Edward Marg, 73, Granton, died
last Thursday at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday from the Zion
Lutheran Church in Granton at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated, with
burial in the Lynn cemetery.
Mr. Marg was born July 28, 1896, in the Town
of Lynn. He received his education in Lynn and the parochial School at Granton.
He married the former Edna Braun, October 20, 1920 at the Lutheran Parsonage in
Nasonville. He was a cheesemaker at Lynn and operated the Riverside Factory at
Chili for many years and also worked for the Neillsville Milk Products
Cooperative.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Gerald Marg of
Granton and two brothers, Arthur Marg of Marion, Ia., and William of Schofield.
There are three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Roger Helm
sang, “Softly and Tenderly” and “Rock of Ages” accompanied by Mrs. Leland
Garbisch.
Pallbearers were: Martin C. Krause, Oscar Bartsch, Roy Lindow,
Allan Reisner, Elmer Marg and George Schmitz.
