Jacobson, Joseph (? - 25 May 1970)
Joseph Jacobson, 75, died May 25, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield,
where he had been a patient for the last month. Funeral services were held
Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from St. Paul’s Church in the Town of Sherwood
with the Rev. Keller officiating. Burial was made in Sherwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa, a daughter, Mrs. Lester Schwanebeck, and
five sons, Russell and Jerry of Rt. 1 Pittsville, Laverne of City Point, and
Richard and Earl of Rockford, Ill.
Pallbearers were: Charles, Ivan and
Wayne Schwanebeck and Arnold, Raymond, and Lee Schwanebeck. Mrs. Betty Sherwood
of Pittsville was the soloist, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Chester
Freedlund.
Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral included Mr.
and Mrs. George Fluegel, Mrs. Rugne Freedlund, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Gergarcy and
daughter, Frances, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nathan all of Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Neeley of Boscobel; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gehre and Mrs. Amanda Wilborn of
Nekoosa; Mr. and Mrs. George Hiles of Pittsville; and Ed Bills, Herb Jenson and
son, Ormin, of city Point.
